Meet Angela

I never planned to become an author.

In fact, for most of my life, I was simply a woman trying to juggle family, work, unexpected challenges, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with life. But through every season—both the good and the difficult—I found myself writing.

Writing became a way to preserve memories, process experiences, and share lessons learned along the way. What started as notes, stories, and reflections eventually grew into something much bigger: a desire to create books that educate, inspire, and bring people together.

Many of my stories are inspired by the things closest to my heart—family, public safety, firefighter families, rescue animals, faith, resilience, and the everyday heroes who make a difference in their communities. As the wife of a firefighter/EMT and an employee of the Chesapeake Fire Department, I have seen firsthand the sacrifices made by public safety families. Those experiences inspired me to create children's books that help young readers understand the important work their loved ones do while also celebrating the special bonds that keep families connected.

I am also passionate about teaching children important safety lessons in a way that is fun, engaging, and easy to understand. Through characters like Sage the Public Safety Pup, I hope to help children learn valuable life skills while enjoying stories that make them smile.

When I'm not writing, I serve as the Office Coordinator for the Chesapeake Fire Department's Fire Marshal's Office, where I work closely with community education programs, public safety initiatives, and fire prevention efforts. I also enjoy graphic design, website development, photography, and spending time with my family and our ever-growing collection of pets.

My writing journey has taught me that every person has a story worth telling. Whether I'm writing a children's book, a novel, or sharing a piece of my own life, my goal is always the same—to encourage, educate, inspire, and remind people that even in life's most challenging moments, there is still hope.
